in the past iver liked shows like eureka and warehouse 13,

eureka has ended and the latest warehouse 13 has been poor.

Aside from the obvious Star Treks etc, Firefly is great but only one season. So is V actually but again just the two seasons IIRC. Heroes? I enjoyed it but again was cancelled after 4 seasons. The 4400 was ok but was cancelled too after like 4 seasons.

Humm .. bit of a pattern here!

:EDIT: Opps, missed the "new" bit of the thread title!

off the top of my head...
defiance - aliens, terraformed planet post apocalyptic world, ties in with the game
extant - not sure haven't watched it yet
falling skies - aliens versus humans on earth, aliens destroyed lots of cities etc
continuum - season 2 was a little weak in my opinion
dominion - same basis as film - angels versus humans, not exactly sci-fi but close enough

I'm going to assume you've watch stargate universe (2 seasons), new battlestar galactica, chrome and blood, caprica etc

You've got the 100 but that's not exactly sci-fi in the strictest sense. Unfortunately for those of who love sci-fi (me included), it's slim pickings, everything seems to have gone reality tv or vampire/werewolf/witches for anything that isn't standard procedural cop/doctor/army type show.... hell there's nothing out there that I class as true sci-fi like the 80-90's had (star trek, babylon 5, knight rider etc), there is literally nothing out now with space ships being a key part of the plot for example.

I like the vampire/werewolf/witches stuff, but I don't like true blood, vampire dairy's, teen wolf ext

my taste is grimm, supernatural.

most of the new sci fi are either very poor or get canceled after a season or 2.

The answer is no. There is a few newish sci-fi shows but most of them are weak.

falling skies and defiance are very very subject to taste if your easily amused they will probably ok.

I've been struggling through the 100 and for all its sins and not being exactly sci-fi its one of the better ones somehow once it gets going.

EDIT: I guess if you get desperate you could watch almost human, for lols watch it in reverse episode order it will probably be just as disjointed as watching it in the listed order.

Correct order is ok, aired order is 'just' watchable

Not really sci-fi at all but it was surprisingly good for what it was, only watched it out of idle curiosity as it popped up on my netflix feed.

I'd suggest Grimm, Continuum and Falling Skies (all mentioned above), also Almost Human - really been enjoying that, though I believe it has been cancelled already :(

Will have to check out Extant and see what it's like
