So I've had my current Z87 PC for Years now, and now that X99 is soon to be released I have decided to make the jump to X79 now that I can take advantage of the price drops...

This is what I have come up with so far, My budget is 10k to include 3x 4K Monitors and other peripherals, I am completely starting from scratch with this build. I do a lot of graphical Cad work etc aswell as a fair amount of gaming. I have a high paying job before anyone says " You're a rich boy" I've saved for this build.

Intel i7 4960X ( Will Overclock)
Asus Rampage IV Black Edition ( Will put a Watercooling Block on)
Corsair Dominator 32GB ( 8 X 4GB Sticks @ 2400MHZ) Is 64Gb's Worth the jump?
3X Nvidia Titan Black's ( Taking advantage of the extra Vram against the 780TI, Will have full waterblock covers on) Might Go for Dual 295X2's ???
Creative Soundblaster Zx Sound Card
TP Link Wifi Card
3X 1TB Samsung 850 PRO SSD's ( When released in Raid 0 )
I have a Nas System so don't require Additional Storage!
Corsair AX1500I PSU with custom sleeved cables
Will use Bitfenix Spectre Pro Fans
Windows 8.1 Pro
3X Asus PB287Q 4K Displays
Various other Peripherals Although Need a Good Keyboard Recomendation

Please note I am putting aside £1100 For the full custom watercooling loop going in this build, Most parts are on order from EKWB as we speak, Have left out the GPU Blocks as still not sure on which ones to use... The theme is blue FYI :)

Still need to pick a case, Am on the fence about having a Caselabs STH10 shipped from the US or a 900D, Your advice on this would be awesome. Also any changes you think I should make I am happy to hear.

Thanks Guys! Will Be Doing a Buildlog for you once everything is here, Especailly as I have Two weeks holiday left to take :)

Way above my level of expertise for speccing but looking forward to see what DoomedSpeed and Ethel have in mind!

If you don't do a build log, you will be in serious trouble, this build looks amazing!

3x4k monitors for gaming (i.e 60fps or above) is impossible with current GPUs.(this was confirmed by either 8 Pack/gibbo in previous thread)

also please say with such a nice budget your going rigid tubing on this as will make build look a lot better

also the "premium" you pay for the crossair domaniator ram isnt worth it.

32GB of dominator or 64gb of another brand for basically same price

YOUR BASKET
2 x G.Skill RipJawsZ 32GB (8x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C9 2133MHz Quad Channel Kit (F3-17000CL9Q2-32GBZH) £299.99 (£599.98)
2 x Corsair Dominator PLATINUM 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C9 2133MHz Quad/Dual Channel Memory Kit (CMD16GX3M4A2133C9) £289.99 (£579.98)
2 x Avexir Blitz 1.1 Original 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Quad Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U24001008G-4BZ1) £287.99 (£575.98)
Total : £1,765.54 (includes shipping : £8.00).

I'd take that partpicker link down, it links to competitor sites which isn't allowed :(

Go for the 4930k, not the 4960X - definitely not worth the extra :D

Thanks For the feedback mate... I'm aware of this, I do very little gaming and am happy to tone down settings/ Resoloution if needed, Coming from 680's in Sli i know the struggle lol

Oh definatley, Not to would be a criminal offence, I've got a mate coming over who will do all my tubing for me... Hmmm, Will certainly take that into consideration, thanks dude!

My honest opining. with such a nice budget would be go all out on x99.

Also the Samsung Evo Pro 1TB over the 840 is £170 more per drive. Honestly not worth the premium.
Ive done a Cart up for you to give idea. (Remember basing this on an x99 build so some "guess work")

YOUR BASKET
2 x OcUK Tech Labs H2O Custom AMD Radeon 295 X2 Dual GPU 8192MB GDDR5 Watercooled Graphics Card - EKWB Edition £1299.95 (£2,599.90)
1 x Intel 4960X 3.60GHz Extreme (Ivybridge-E) Socket LGA2011 Processor - Retail (BX80633I74960x) £749.99
3 x Asus PB287Q 28" 4K 60Hz 1MS Gaming Widescreen LED Monitor - Black £566.99 (£1,700.97)
1 x Asus Rampage IV Extreme Black Edition Intel X79 (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard £359.99
2 x Crucial Ballistix Sport 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit (BLS4K8G4D240FSA) £359.99 (£719.98)
1 x Corsair AX1500i Digital ATX 80 Plus Titanium Modular Power Supply (CP-9020057-UK) £329.99
3 x Samsung 1TB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE1T0BW) £324.98 (£974.94)
1 x Corsair Obsidian 900D Super Tower Case (CC-9011022-WW) £274.99
1 x SteelSeries Ultimate Gamer Bundle £159.91
1 x Asus Xonar Essence STX Sound Card £134.99
1 x Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit DVD - OEM (FQC-06949) £109.99
Total : £8,161.54 (includes shipping : £38.25).

CPU(i7-5960X) + Motherboard (Add additional £500 to total)

This still leave you with £1400 for Wireless card and remaining watercooling stuff(remember EK GPU blocks included in price)

The last thing you want to do is sent 10k on a PC, to in a year regret not going X99. wait the extra few months, put more money aside and talk with OCUK and get a 8PACK system desigend to you SPEC and have the peace of mind of collect/return warant service etc.

That is a very good point mate, Not a bad plan. I'm in a situation at the moment where I can put a fair amount away, So by X99 I can most likely increase my budget and get some DDR4 too... Will certainly consider that... Thanks for the basket! As for the "8Pack system" I considered it but I loved building my own PC I cant wait to do it again!

Cosair Vengeance Pro ram is actually a lot better with Haswell chips as the Dominator ram was originally produced for ivybridge. I would get the Vengance Pro's and cover them in a memory water-block for looks.

In regards to the monitors you will be lucky to get anywwhere near 30fps on a triple 4k setup. Might be worth you saving the money for the future and going with 3 x 2560x1440 monitors.

DDR4 isnt exactly expensive... yes there will be a slight premium until more manufactures start producing for x99 platforms.
However DDR3 isnt as cheap as it used to be.

Prime Example of this below

YOUR BASKET
1 x Crucial Ballistix Elite 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 PC4-21300C15 2666MHz Quad Channel Kit £479.99
2 x Corsair Dominator PLATINUM 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (CMD16GX3M2A2400C10) £229.99 (£459.98)
Total : £949.57 (includes shipping : £8.00).

I agree its enjoyable to build a PC yourself. But lets say you can get all your componets like suggested above for the 10k mark.

Lets say a 20% Premium (2k)
Included is
# Custom Poweder coated 8PACk Caselabs Case
# Customer Braiding for PSU
# Maximum Stable OC by 8PACK Himself

REMEMBER all components are Binned by 8pack. so you et the best of the best !
"The process of building an 8Pack PC starts with the careful selection of components. By rigorously testing different processors and memory for maximum speed & stability, 8Pack ensures that only the best components make the final cut. The processor, for example, is one of hundreds which 8Pack has personally tested. Only those processors with both a top end clock speed and integrated memory controller powerful enough to challenge for world overclocking records are selected."

You have a compelling point freind, I'll consider it!

not sure if OCUK are going to get stock.
But in build like this 2 x Asus ROG Ares III Dual R9 295x2's Would Look Beautiful :)

Hmmmm, They sure would! It sounds like AMD are taking the ead with there Gpu's now too, The TitanZ was just awful, They need to pull their fingers out on the 800 Series if they want to keep their customers...
