Going to Bristol this saturday for a night out, staying at the Marriot Hotel in Bristol central and parking over night. Checked the parking prices and their just stupidly expensive! Any of you guys know any cheaper alternatives or even free places? Dont mind walking a bit.

Last time I were in Bristol I stayed at the Hilton Inn (So the crap hilton) but they had free parking.

I know however that down the road from there there was a free overnight carpark (10am for to put a ticket on) if that's any help.

Drive up Park Street, around the triangle, and look for a space on-street behind the Victoria Rooms and near the Clifton Lido. Used to park there for work in the mornings; could take a while to find a space at that time, but weekends are easier.

Just a 7 or 8 minute walk to the Marriott.

Thanks, I'll definently try that!

And people wonder why the mayor is bringing in Resident's Parking Schemes :p.

If you'd rather spend at least half an hour walking up and down a massive hill with your luggage plus struggling to park around an extremely busy residential area rather than just paying a tenner for a car park you obviously don't value your time much!

Trenchard Street is 2 minutes away and a massive car park right in the centre. Just park there and save the hassle.

Im pretty sure Cabot Circus is £2.50 for the whole night if you park after 5pm. Or Park on Stackpool road (southville) and walk over the bridge. 7 mins max. FREE!

Aren't there two Marriots? There's one at the bottom of Park street, and one at next to Cabot Circus. If you're staying at the one next to Cabot Circus, it's more than a 7 minute walk from Clifton. In fact, it's more like 20.

Marriot near Cabot Circus - Cabot Circus car park is cheap overnight as previously mentioned.

Marriot near Park street - Trenchard Street is right around the corner and really cheap on weekends, also as previously posted. :p
