I've talked myself into buying a new gaming / VMware machine instead of upgrading my existing one...Aim is to be able to run 4k without issue to a single monitor and to come in under 2.5k total inc. VAT.

Current thought is:

Was previously leaning towards 2 x 290x for the GPU side of things, but this comes in at about the right price. Open to thoughts/suggestions!

I honestly cannot recommend getting two AMD cards over two Nvidia at this point in time, especially on a Z97 chipset. Driver issues are making crossfire problematic in many games right now.

Cool, that makes up my mind on that side of things then, cheers :)

Is it just me or does an optical drive make the 750D look really ugly?

+100 There was a post on corsair forums once and it changed the front a bit (just a design by someone). The thing is the 750D is quite a lot wider than a standard 5.25 bay, so ruins the clean look :(
