See ridiculous hair cuts like this on a daily basis.

I think the worst style at the moment is shaven sides, and long hair at the top slicked all the way back to the top of their neck.

Christ knows where all this came from.
 
I prefer the one women seem to have adopted with entails bundling all their hair into a stupid ball shaped mess on the crown of their heads ..... fashion .... I don't get it.
 
made in chelsea/towie has much to answer for, such as the emasculation of modern man.

as for women with a birds nest on their head, i recall watching a documentary about the excavation of a bog-body [neolithic corpse or somesuch] that concluded that his hairstyle [done in a similar fashion] was as a form of compensation for his shortness. and i feel this theory may apply too as i have yet to see a tall woman adopt this style.

The picture in the OP is fairly conservative and pretty close to your standard short back and sides, it's just scruffed up.

Slicked back it would fit your 40's bit. So what's your problem?

Personally I think men's hair in general at the moment is smarter and classier than it's been in years and years. Younger people will wear it in a different, more trendy and floppy way, but they've always done that. At least they scrub up nice. I don't know what people are complaining about.
