Van driver talking on the phone

Every day outside my work, I play 'Spot the driver who isn't on their mobile' at 5.30pm.
We're on a raised pavement next to a busy road- I can see right into the cars as they go by.
They try and disguise it in many ways, but it is impossible. Even saw one girl drive by watching TV on hers while doing 20-25 in moderate traffic, approaching a junction...
Current record is eight (single occupant*) cars in a row. If I could get away with it, I'd take their windows out with housebricks.
*I find drivers generally will not use their phones when carrying passengers... Strange, that.

With the footage OP has, I'd hope not, clearly shows that the van was in the wrong to pull out and OP had right of way
No insurance company would side with the van driver

Similar thing happened to me on the bike the other day, some bloke in a van, chatting away on the phone. It's so frustrating.
I had a van driver hit my trailer a while ago, I'd passed him with my cab on a roundabout (similar situation to that video) bearing in mind I was towing a 45ft trailer behind me, he simply drove straight into the side of it, my momentum removed the front of his van for him, upon the police arriving, he actually tried to blame ME because he was distracted by his phone conversation!!
He got a free ride in a Police car for his staggering stupidity...

Well I meant in a scenario where you didn't have the footage. No way to prove the location so it would be difficult to determine guilty party.
