Hi guys , at the moment I've got the three fans on top of the radiator pulling air through. Will my temps improve if I put them under the radiator at bottom of my case

What radiator and fans?

Generally Pushing air from the outside of the case is better but every system is different.

Hi its the Swiftech h320 with stock Helix fans, so I would be better putting the fans on the bottom as there is no restriction with hairflow as the case is the Phanteks primo

I take it the H320 is mounted in the top of the case?

If so I would mount the fans on top, blowing cold air down rather than hot case air being pushed or pulled through the rad.

I know heat rises but if you have positive case pressure (more fans sucking air into it than out) it won't be an issue.

If you don't want to do that you can still put the fans under it and push case air through the rad and out the top.

It does't take that long to change fans around so you could try both and see what works best for you.

hi JP ive got the radiator on the bottom of the case below the motherboard I thought closer to the ground the cooler the air, I will put the fans under the radiator to push air though instead of on top pulling the air.

Thanks

Thanks JP might swap the fans for noiseblocker ones would different fans help also?

Helix airflow 24 to 55 CFM
noiseblocker b12bs is 98.7m3/h (not sure which is better)

those fans are dencent enough. but they are a SP fan so will need to be pushing to work properly.

Cheers guys I was selling my noiseblocker but think I might keep them as they will push more are at less rpms I might even buy another two for push pull once OC get more stock :)

Hi JP sorry one more question, if I buy a white 360mm nexxxos monsta can I use that with my h320 combination pump and block. I know that there is a small Reservoir on the swiftech radiator BUT is it possible

I am not familiar with the H320 but looking here http://www.swiftech.com/H320.aspx it says you could add an extra radiator and blocks if you wanted.

The integrated fittings are 3/8 barbs for 10mm ID tube so if you bought a another rad, fittings and tube to match it, then fill it up with some new coolant it looks like it should work.

It may be worth just selling the H320 as a unit and buy a watercooling bundle from here: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=962&catid=1532

At least then you have the option to do whatever you like.

Overall, most SP fans seem to work about the same regardless of whether they're in push or pull. Pushing through a Rad reportedly traps more dust in there, though I've no idea why, but that's why I opted for a pull out the top of my case.
Certain SP fans, such as Enermax ones, draw air in from the sides of their frames as well, so really only work in push.

Beyond that, it comes down to trying different configs out.
I'm still playing with my own, although I managed to take 5ºC off all temperatures over the weekend simply by modding the mesh side panel to a window!

You mentioned less RPMs - If noise is a factor for you, pay attention to what the airflow is blowing through - Even the quietest fans can make noise if they're billowing through a grille or mesh.
