ARMA 3 Screenshots @4K

Caution very large images and lots of them.

Hope there is enough pics here uksolderboy, I have got more but if I posted them I think some of the guys would want to kill me for posting oversized images.

It runs as well on two GPUs (290Xs) as it does on all 4

FPS were between 40 and 70

The detail in the buildings was very good.

The hillsides in the distance looked a bit odd (probably the same as lower resolutions too).

Just looking at the pics it looks like imgur has resized them slightly.

Great screenshots Kap, the up close with not much draw distance look very nice.

Is it just me that thinks the draw distance in the Arma games and Dayz looks horrible?

Kap you should use OpenDrive and link them that way, you wont get any compression from Opendrive.

Save the pictures and view them in fullscreen on your monitor.
Viewing the pictures through the forums makes them look worse than they are.

Looks like the player textures could do with higher res (gloves/gun).

Looks lovely, its a shame the things closest to the users eye (the gun and hand) look terrible in comparison. The gun especially just looks out of place above all things.

For realism the graphics in Arma 3 are incredible 99% of the time, but it does suffer from some poor textures in places.

Bit off-topic but does ArmA III run as bad as ArmA II/DayZ? Have they improved the engine at all or does it still run like ****?

I get around 80-100fps in the editor, and about 50-80fps averages online, server depending.

In a busy (40+ people) server with all the stuff turned right up? Ideally looking for a comparison from someone who's played ArmA 2 & 3.

Yeah bud i have, been a fan and played them all from operation flashpoint

There's still issues, but performance is pretty good if the server is decent.

That's on a full server, performance has increased a bit since then too.

It's no perfect and can become very cpu dependent in some scenes and areas, but for the most part it's great imo.

I liked ARMA II campaign. It was mega bugged though if you played with somebody. Would get de-synced and stuff... was annoying.

Kaap would you dl theHunter and try that at 4k on highest settings ?

there is a free version would be interested in what fps you get as it is quite intense on highest settings.

Some parts of it look really good and other parts not so good. Hills in the distance really did look a bit odd.

The original pics look a bit better as imgur keeps resizing them at the moment. :eek:

Yea i have seen more realistic Guns in the hands of 7 year old's running about my street. The rest looks really nice.
