Urggh, now the dilemma, buy a second GTX780 even though one is serving me fine and I have no desire to change screens any time soon. Or just wait until I actually need more performance and see what Nvidia/AMD have on offer...

Yes NVIDIA have stopped production of 770/780, causing shortages, a real shame as demand is increasing especially as there are still many users who are perfectly happy to just buy another for SLI purposes.

I take it that includes the 780Ti

Some are saying by September there is a good possibility of Nvidia releasing something on 20nm, with the rest of stack coming next year.

Hopefully Nvidia will reveal card info @ Gamescom.

That would be the AMD posse then, just so they can laugh at Nivida even more.

As we know any rumours that paint the new card in a bad light are true and any that paint them in a good light are wishful thinking.

Strange because I'd love it if AMD came out of nowhere and announced an awesome card, as it would push nvidia. All I see happening here is the same with the current series, nvidia strikes first, AMD strikes back with cheaper equivalent cards and then nvidia releases significantly higher priced models (780ti) that are better by not all that much.

Maybe because they design the things so know bandwidth is only one factor in determining throughput.

anyone know when there will be actual data released for these cards(not saying the data is false but just would like to know when nvidia will be releasing or sending out test versions of the cards)? also judging by the pricing they could be between the 780ti and titan, wouldn't it be better to get the titan?

Got to be fake. Pointless release otherwise. Yes the 8800gt to 9800gt series was an incremental upgrade but that was only 6 months. It will be nearly a year and a half between this release!

There is a rumour going round that you can SLI one of these GTX 870s with a GTX 780 but I suspect it is Roy over @amd up to his usual tricks.
