Where is the best place to sell my Car?

If you want to sell it fast webuyanycar, I've read recently that as long as the car is in good nick they tend to pay what they say they will.

Sold listing on eBay for similar show 1 at 7.5k

I see one on eBay, going for around 10k, it's got about 60k mileage, same spec as mine only it's a 10 plate, mine is slightly newer at 60 plate.

I'd be willing to sell for £8,250-500. A lot of those sites like WeBuyAnyCar are giving only £6,000 max.

oh god no, not after the home cinema debacle.

Dinzi, think this through, a 2010/11 BMW 3 series is an old model, why do you want to change to that specific car?

Theres the problem.... going for

the only one that appears to have actually sold recently on eBay is 7.5k
theres also ones on there for 12.5k.
Surely the ones sitting as classifieds that are yet to sell tells you something?
Also the mileage on yours is vastly higher than others, the 7.5k one that sold was quite similar.

I don't mind, I've put it up on various places for £8,750, if I get £8,000 minimum I'll accept it.

@Jano: 2010/11 isn't that old, I mean I don't plan on spending more than £10k, that's my budget. This Mercedes is a 'Kompressor' it doesn't too well on Petrol, I have to fill up every weekend even on short journeys during the week. The BMW will be Diesel, should be better.

Dinzi, a 2010/11 BMW 3 series is an E90, first released in 2006. It's an 8 year old car.

I want something Diesel, in White, that looks good, what would you suggest? If I could get a White, Diesel, Mercedes like I have now, not Kompressor so a CDI under 10k, I'd buy it.

That BMW though, the ones I've linked, looks like a great car. If I get it, I will also change the alloys to gloss black, hopefully can pick something up. Will add some Xenon lights too. If I get the car for £9k, hopefully I can do the two adjustments for under £500-750.

I don't really understand why you are changing at all. It makes no sense, you aren't going to get anything that's worth the cost of changing.

I suggest looking into just how much it costs to make those changes. I could be incorrect but as far as I understand it, retrofitting Xenon's alone would be a lot more than £500-£750.

You was right. I can get Xenon for £500.96 for just the left (full kit, corner/indicator/headlamps) so about £1000 for left/right and I can get Halogen for £207 for just the left.

Ha ha, that's very expensive.. I might just get the Whitest Halogen's possible. I wonder if those would be better than what the car comes with.

Prices are from euro car parts.

I think you will struggle to sell that price, most people looking for Merc/Audi/BMW saloons, at that budget will either want a Diesel or a large petrol engine, not a gutless neither here nor there small petrol.

With that amount of miles, id expect to get 7.5k tops.

And then dont forget the ballasts and wiring and coding on top of that 500.96!

sold all my previous cars on Gumtree every time! wasted money on ebay, pistonheads and not had any interest.
oh and dont even bother with we buy any car they offered me £1.2k for a £3k car. I dont even know how anyone would end up using them.

They tend to pay well for small, common, diesel cars that are fairly new. Anything slightly left-field, performance, old, expensive to run, or rare and their prices are terrible.

I sold a Merc C320 CDI (2007 EST 95k miles FSH) to we want any car, i had this car as low as 4500 on the usual Ebay and AT advertising sites and just didnt get a response. I sold it to the WWAC for 5k in the end. I put it down to the fact it was the older model in a unfashionable colour, with cloth seats. The engine and gearbox were fantastic, and it had the command nav aswell.
