Is anything 8gb coming out this year Gibbo? I'm so in need of 8gb with this lovely 4k monitor and my 3gb cards. Not that I can't run everything just great but playing watchdogs even on low is not possible right now.
We have exclusive on 8GB 290X, but have like only 20pc left, can't get more as it was a one off production run at the factory, won't be making any more.

Sanity prevails again, IMO they were far to much money for what they are.

VaporX are 3 slot cards, it's hard enough fitting two. So yes it's a lot easier to fit 4 Titans.

I've only seen them around the 700/800 mark and cheaper elsewhere, which is still all irrelevant anyway as we're talking about now and you couldn't buy 4 290X 8GB cards for a 1000 quid less than 4 Titans.
£800 with some available for less than £100 over that ignored 8GB 290.

4 Titans are actually the cheapest option lol
They can run on air so no rads, no waterblocks, only a single PSU where as with the 8gb 290Xs (Gibbo has only got 20 left) there is no way to get 4 on a mobo and no one makes waterblocks either.
But you can't fit 4 of those in a rig

All in all the Titans are a real bargain.
Almost forgot the drivers for quad SLI are better than quadfire.

Even if there was a board that could cope with 4 of them, the heat would be incredible. They're not designed to function that tight. The backplates dissipate a lot of heat.
4 GPU's is the only situation where where you can't get as many Vapour-X in the rig, i'll give you that but that is an extremely narrow set of circumstance.
You also don't need more than 4GB to run 4K unless you run high levels of AA which is also just a performance drain with no IQ difference, so removes the need for 4 GPU's.
2 or 3 290X / 780TI is the same as 4 Titan Blacks visually
