Today is the day I lost respect for the British police

Last week I was issued a pin notice by the police, regarding harassment, x said I was harassing her, today I found out that the the allegation was based on calls suspected to be made by myself she thought it was me making the calls, yet there is no proof that I made them. Seems like democracy has been thrown out of the window in this country.

Early days yet m8. These things take time to resolve. If, as you say, there is no proof, then nothing will be done.

The calls are coming from inside the house.

Also, you probably shouldn't post your issues here. Or at least, these issues.

Excuse my ignorance but what is "pin" from the cops? I'm guessing it wasn't literally a pin?

It's a Police Information Notice. It basically says "This person wants no contact from you. Don't contact them."

If you are charged with an offence in future, it can be brought up in court to say that you signed a document explaining that they didn't want you to contact them.

Wasn't there a very similar thread to this 1/2 weeks ago where someone (maybe OP?) wasn't allowed to contact his ex but wanted to get some of his items back or something? Can't find it by searching...

Either way, the best plan is probably to stop harassing your ex and move on. They can't prove it, but it's probably fairly obvious it was you.

The point is i did nothing of the sort which really annoys me, and if she can lie what stops her doing again in the future?

I notice you haven't actually denied making these calls.

I too fail to see what our voting system has to do with your issues.

Because acknowledging receipt of a Police Information Notice does not mean that the recipient is admitting any wrongdoing, there is no right of appeal. If a person is unhappy about the fact that the warning was issued, he or she could complain to the police force or to the Independent Police Complaints Commission..
