Cliff Richard - Sexual Abuse Claims

Cite some sources, fella. Because penetrative rape is a much more serious crime.

I don't need to.

It is the law in the UK for something to be classed as "rape" it has to be with a penis therefore it is impossible for a woman to rape a man.

Anything women do to men is sexual assault.

A woman sexually assaulting a man with a strap-on instrument would get as much time as a man raping a woman, because for all intents and purposes it is rape just not in UK law it's not. It's just silly semantics.

My sources are a friend who has a Law Degree and all I had was to google it to confirm it.

But haven't there been cases where women have been convicted of rape for performing sex attacks on men? (obviously not including penises, but *other objects* )

* edit (they were american cases) seems your right, she could only commit rape as an accomplice, not as the actual perpetrator

Just catching up with this BBC raid report... thank goodness the BBC were there with their cameras and helicopter to record this crime for time in memorial! Oh hang on Richard is still supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, never mind the BBC are guardians of truth and justice as the Lord McAlpine episode demonstrates. My contempt for them grows as the years pass.

Well said.

Cliff's been called back to the UK to answer police questions. Looks like the police have something.

Information flooded in after a raid on the singer’s home on Thursday. South Yorkshire Police yesterday said “a number of people” have come forward following the publicity.

It raised the spectre that the callers may include more alleged victims. The revelation came as Sir Cliff, 73, prepared to cut short a holiday in Portugal and return to Britain to answer police questions over the claim he sexually assaulted a schoolboy at an evangelical rally.

This joke was out before the internet

It was indeed, and the worrying part is... it was actually used in response to a Cliff Richard Christmas album that was being relaunched. I kid you not!

Wording was slightly different, but the context was the same.

Just a shame most of the people associated with that disgusting lodge are now dead so got away with it.

Why have people come forward only now? The whole 'He was famous and nobody would believe me' thing, which was previously very credible, is surely completely irrelevant since the Saville affair - it's quite obvious that such historical allegations are now taken very seriously.

So why does it take a police raid for dozens of people to then decide to do something?
