3 sided display. Real or fake?

It's in the in-house testing phases from what we have been shown recently from Samsung.

Only LG or Samsung will do it first TBH. they are the display powerhouses in the gadget world and everyone else will follow behind shortly after.

Early benchmark results are coming in for the Exynos powered Note 4; it supposedly beats the 805 and is only pipped by the K1. Not bad. Which model will the UK get? Snapdragon?

Yeah.. who needs a waterproof phone in England right?

You tell me? I've managed fine for over a decade.

What's happened in the past is the LTE markets have got the Snapdragon version of Samsung phones and non-LTE markets have got the Exynos version.

Going by that logic, we'll get the Snapdragon version.

The latest Exynos may have LTE onboard now. Galaxy Alpha does I think.

Well good for you :) As someone who likes to be out and being pretty active not having to worry about my phone getting wet when outside in the rain would be a massive bonus.
Just couldn't understand why anyone would wish for something that has no downside and only upsides!

THere is a downside - flaps over the ports! - I'd hate to have to fumble around with flimsy port covers whilst sticking my phone on charge in the middle of the night!

I don't mind the flap. The problem I have with how all manufacturers implement it though is that unless you have sharp nails (I keep my nails flush) then you need to stab the flap with something to get it open.

Why can't it simply be a push mechanism that ejects the flap? I guess R&D into the mechanism comes into it.... but this is a £500+ phone so who cares? If it costs a bit more it costs a bit more and gives the convenience to the user!

Think its the SOny Z2 which has flaps but also has a magnetic dock available which it can just slot into for charging.

I'd be more than happy with that.
