Robin Williams found dead at home

I've seen plenty of people suffer most of their lives through illness, abandonment, depression, et cetera, but they suffered, mainly because they cared about others around them, they didn't focus their views solely on themselves, what did RW's go through that was so dreadful, he had three children, why couldn't he suffer for them.

how much would you want your parents to suffer so you wouldn't have to deal with the grief of their death for a few more years?

Not at all, I've felt and dealt with such issues, suicide should be viewed as failure in the fight against mental illness to encourage striving to get better no matter how down in the dumps you are.

so drying of cancer should be seen as you failing to fight hard enough to cure yourself of cancer?

The Mrs and I watched What Dreams May Come tonight, she's seen it before and first time for me. Odd considering it's Richard Matheson, and him being one of my favourite authors.

Anyway, simply awesome. 16 years, should have waited that long. Such a talent, you can almost see the bits he ad-libbed and his wonderful smile and humour seeping through like that of a familiar friend. Cracking film.

If anyone asks me to describe it, I would say its simply a "beautiful film". That works on so many levels.

God! That music! I love New Age. Was this in that? Surely not… I'll be damned, so it is. Enigma - Close To Heaven.

It's been so long since I've seen it.

Bit of news from his Widow today - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/films/20...t-my-brain-robin-williamss-widow-writes-hear/

He didnt receive the correct treatment which is incredible for someone so highly valued in his industry, nobody could be tasked to just see through this problem for him?

What do you mean he didn't get the correct treatment?

That article in neurology states that he hadn't been diagnosed with LBD until after his death, a disease for which there is no treatment.

The only people that think of it as selfish are ones who aren't educated about the subject and are just spouting off stuff that they've overheard others (also uneducated) say

No, the people who insist it isn't selfish just don't understand what selfishness actually entails. Everyone is selfish to some degree and it isn't necessarily a negative trait.

Depression is a severe self consuming condition. It can result in extremely selfish acts, but it is what it is.

LBD caused Williams to suffer from "paranoia, delusions and looping, insomnia, memory, and high cortisol levels" as well as "acute paranoia and out-of-character emotional responses", but because neither he nor Schneider knew the cause of these symptoms they were all the more frustrating.

I cant link the article from windows news section, made it a bit clear better treatment could have been made. If nothing else understanding helps
