So, I've currently got a Mazda3 '57 plate and I've been looking at downgrading to a car which does a lot more miles to the gallon.

Looked at all the small cars like the Up!, i10, Citigo, Mii etc.. but settled on this...

I know a lot of guys here would prefer the i10 but I felt that the Aygo has more charachter (espically the x-cite model which is the one I went for) and I think it looks awesome :D

Wow, that must have been one thirsty Mazda3 if it was worth spending thousands more than its value on a brand new car for better MPG :p

:D

that looks rubbish.. hopefully you only drive around city?

Mazda 3 looks much better. Surely this has got to be a huge step back in everything other than MPG?

Not everyone would like my car either, though. So as long as you're happy with it.. :)

I hope they haven't inflated the price too much - the only way these work is when they're dirt cheap transport!

In fairness our 107 has been perfect for the Mrs to trundle round a few miles each day

Ah, trust the Motor Forums to go out on the offensive :D

I bought it new, mostly due to the low costs of having it new. Finance is a good low rate, no tax, free insurance, no MOT and fixed servicing.

The Mazda was getting high on Mileage so was getting to the point where it wasn't really worth anything. It was the petrol engine and got me an average of 32 MPG so the Aygo doubles that which will save me money on the ol' petrol.

The car will be used for town journeys as well as the Motorway but when I test drove it, I made sure I want on the motorway and it handled itself with no problem at all.

My GF hated the colour but I put my foot down as I think the Orange in the flesh is a great colour :D

Why did you go for such a small car when you were looking at Polos, Fiestas and Swifts 3 years ago?

If it was a monetary decision, then buying a larger second hand car would've made more sense. If you bought on PCP, then I guess you're stuck with buying new due to the typically high interest rates on used car PCP deals.

The same reasons most people seem to cite. In reality they are flawed - the insurance isn't free its just part of the price, the road tax on almost any car like this from the last 10 years is at most £35 a year, no car needs an MOT until its 3 years old, it's not exclusive to brand new cars and an MOT costs what, £25?
