waiting for an excuse to buy next gen?

anyone thinking like this?
I've not been keeping up to date with everything that's due out but I wish there was something due for release that would encourage me to buy a ps4/xb1

also, just saw that a 2nd Tomb Raider game is bieng made but will be XB1 exclusive, possibly the first time I've seen reason for me to buy an XB1 over a PS4!

Well in all fairness there's been E3 and Gamescom so if you can't find anything from that fantastic line up then you're probably never going to.

So you've by your own admission not been keeping up to date...

...makes the tread pretty redundant really.
 
I bought a PS1 for GT, a PS2 for GT3, and a PS3 for GT5, so guess what I'm waiting for? :p

Bought a 360 for GTA4 and then sold it, and then bought another for Forza 4, so could be swung to an XB1 by something, but I doubt it.
 
not interested in destiny, GTA 5, halo remakes?

(What I'm getting this Q4 on xbox one), theres also forza horizon 2

Dead rising 3 is also a great game well worth a play.

Tbh if you need convincing then its probably best you don't invest just now! :p

Thats always the way I deal with such threads - its not up to me to sell a particular console, theres people that are paid to do that :p. All the enlightenment you need is at the end of the google search ;)

Agreed. They've both got a decent library of games already but if you're not convinced yet or don't find much of it appealing, just wait. Otherwise you'll end up being another of the people on here who moan about their new console gathering dust because they failed to make an informed decision in the first place.
 
I spent an unhealthy amount of time choosing which version to buy multi platform games on after I had a 360 and PS3, hiring both versions from lovefilm etc, was ridiculous!

GTA5 has been my favourite game in years, doubt it'll be so good 2nd time round :(

Sorry not attempting to be rude, but you know much better than any of us what would attract you to the new consoles - perhaps if you had giving more information we could have given a more informed answer.

Ultimately we know we are gonna see hundreds of these types of thread, we did last generation, so we get easily tired responding alike

cool, wasn't really looking for an answer, just peoples thoughts, if anyone's in the same boat
pointless thread I suppose, but what's the point of anything :D
it's just nice to make a thread and see what people are saying on a subject sometimes
 
Despite being an advocate of PC gaming, I finally succumbed to purchasing a Sony PlayStation 4 and The Last of Us Remastered Day 1 Edition. The best of both worlds.
 
If not played Last of Us, then there is no excuse needed, just go and purchase a PS4 to play one of the great games. As for TR2 its timed and Uncharted 4 will be out around the same time, and if it follows the last few ND games it will prob be GOTY.

Thing is I have 42" inch screen and on that PS3 games look really poor, PS4 on the other hand just looks amazing.
 
I'm kinda in the same boat (ish). Unfortunately, of the friends that have moved 'Next Gen', all bar one have gone with a PS4. For multiplayer, PS4 is going to be where it's at for me shortly, and that's when I'll probably make the jump. I say unfortunately because, honestly, I think the Xbox One's upcoming games line-up is just better. Halo 5, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Crackdown 3, Fable: Legends. I'll be disappointed to miss out on these.
