What are people's thought's on this? Not widely reported over here, but it strike similar chords with the London riots a couple years ago.

I can't help but feel if he hadn't robbed the store, he wouldn't have got shot. Ultimately...

Now it's the same old argument. Police a racists blah blah blah. Michael Brown (kid who got shot) did his best to live up to stereotypes. Robbed a store whilst high on weed...

Why? The policeman who shot him knew nothing of the robbery.

Apparently it was just radio'd in as he pulled away orginally, and he pulled up to cut the boys path off, that's when Michael slammed the door police door as the officer attempted to get out. Followed by a struggle that discharged the gun inside the car. Apparently whlst still on the officers hip. (Michael went for the officers gun)

It's all the BBC have been harping on about! :p

More of a sky news man :D or papers. Nothing headlining. But I suppose it wouldn't really.

Another "poor innocent little Jonny butter wouldn't melt in his mouth" scenario.

He robbed a store whilst high. Cops were out looking for him. Something happened and he got shot. Everyone in the USA knows the cops are armed so don't mess or face the potential consequences.

But enough for some of the community to scream racism to cover up basic looting and and social disorder.

Yes most people are protesting legally with non violence, but there all always the hoodies that use it to their advantage under the false pretence of racism.

Very very similar to London.

All the news reports are not helping by constantly saying black teenager shot by white policeman. Why was it not just reported as teenager shot by policeman, but adding the skin colours in the reports make it about race.

The reports do seem all over the place, some say one shot, some say 6 shots, some say he was standing on the street, some say he was in the car.

Without actually seeing a video of what happened it is going to be almost impossible for anyone to actually know what really happened.

Indeed, it doesn't help.

Autopsy revealed he was shot 6 times. He was killed in the street. Many 'eye witnesses' claimed the officer shot him in the back as he was running away. Until the autopsy report came out and said all 6 shots entered from the front... woops.

Now they claim he was in the surrendering position and executed.

And when this is disproved, they will come up with another excuse and so on and on.

I hate humans at times.

Regardless of what happened. The guy was unarmed and shot at least 6 times. Not cool.
Was he fighting with the cop for the gun? I doubt it, sounds like that's just the words of the cop, of course it is.

He was High as a kite and robbed a store. Not cool.

the only person in a position to decided if he was a threat or not was the police office involved. A six-year police veteran with no complaints against him, they are given guns to defend themselves and are trained to use them.

A sweeping statement considering no one knows what happened. If he "did" go for the officers gun as some reports speculate, then did he deserve to be shot ?

The problem with today's society (some more than others) is the ability to accept responsibility and blame and to try to blame others.

Also all this crap from the family post mortem that he was dead with the 1st shot, why shot more. Well from the coppers point of view, he shot to kill, so what harm would 5 more do to make sure ? Completely crap arguments and how was the copper to know the 1st shot did the job ?

True.

This is America though. Don't fight with an armed cop, definitely do not go for his gun, and thirdly surrender when asked and don't run at him...

If it turns out all the above is true. He more or less dug his own grave.

Its just like the London riots, Black man brakes the Law, gets themselves shot and then the community thinks it gives them the rights to kick off, instead of excepting the fact the guy was an a*****e who shouldn't have been doing what he did anyways.

Have you ever smoked a joint, or ten? I'm not sure you'd be "as high as a kite" as cannabis doesn't really alter your perception. Anyway, if you were high, the chances of you being aggressive are almost none.

The real issue is not his race or what he was up to, but the fact that an unarmed man was shot from the front six times; outrageous.

Not outrageous at all if the police office considered him a threat.

+1

Why doesn't this happen when a white crim gets killed ?

All this crap along with religious wars makes me want to move to a desert island and hide as this world is so pathetic.
