Painting Copper Pipes

Afternoon,

Need to paint the copper pipes from my central heating install. What primer and and top coat do people recommend. Top coat will be white.

Have you considering using sleeving instead?

Search Plumb-Pak Radsnap Radiator White Pipe Sleeves. Much better finish than painting.

I looked into that but wouldn't want there to be visible joins and coudlnt see how they would work on a pipe with a bend in it?

any oil based paint would do the job,either undercoat/top coat or no undercoat needed

I done this for an install and had to paint the pipes red and blue for flow and return. What i done is clean, degrease, clean, degrease the pipes then primer and top coat, i used a red/blue emulsion and they come up really well.
