PS4 - recommend some multiplayer games to PC gamers

I'm giving some serious thought to picking up a PS4.

Most of my gaming in recent years has been on the PC, with a bit of 360 (nearly all single player). My mates all used to game together on the PC, mostly ploughing time into MMO's like WoW, SWTOR and GW2, plus sometimes playing some FPS (BF and CoD).

None of us have the time to play MMOs anymore (sadly, as still enjoy them!), so we're considering all picking up a next gen console for some gaming sessions together. Seems like a good idea, as it should be more pick up and play, plus it's more social to be down in the living room than upstairs on the PC (thinking of respective missuseseses here).

So, bearing in mind our gaming pasts, what games would you recommend?

My initial thoughts were:

- we would all like Diablo III due to the lewt and sense of progression.
- I'd imagine a footy game would go down well too, although I'm more of a Pro Evo man than FIFA. What have the recent ones been like?
- shooters might be a pain, as so used to mouse and keyboard that it'd be frustrating being rubbish (I find this on my 360)

All suggestions welcome.

Cheers

I would say Diablo is a good choice, I'm playing the PS4 version atm. I played the PC version a lot but I find the console version much better.

I wouldn't rule out Destiny either although it is like an MMO and obviously a shooter there are so many ways to play it, you can play solo, co-op, pvp, raids etc and play at your own pace so you can all get used to playing FPS's without having to worry.

I'd actually say to get The Last of Us also, it's a great single player game but the multiplayer is a bit slower and works well in a group.

Then I would look at a Racing game, Drive Club is out soon and is looking really good and again will be ideal for a group of friends.

Thanks for the recommendations Jase. I was loosely aware of Destiny, but I'll look into that more.

I didn't know TLOU was multiplayer at all, so that's an interesting option.

We're mostly in different cities, so there won't be a lot of local co-op play.

He means online co-op play like Borderlands etc.

Definitely give Destiny a shot. It's the game a lot of us here are really looking forward to. And Yeah Diablo obviously.
