I don't known a great deal about cigars but do like one every now and again. (Holidays, weddings, stag do's that sort of thing)

Where is the best place to buy them - not even sure if its best to buy them in a shop or online. In the past I have smoked Monte Cristo, Romeo & Juliet and a couple if other brands i have not heard of.

I fancy buying some decent ones for a holiday in a couple of weeks

Is tgere anything else worth buying too, such as a cigar cutter?

Thanks

Cheers Tom, just what I was looking for.

Cainer, who are you the product police. Get out

Anyone know if cigar cutters are allowed in hand luggage?

Where are you going on holiday as it might be cheaper to pick them up from duty free. Also, don't be buying too many unless you have the right conditions to keep them in, or you're buying them a while prior to smoking them. Cigars dry out which ruins the smoke. Hence the need for humidors for storage and keeping cigars for extended periods.

Portugal.

I got some Monte Cristo's and a few Romeo & Juliet cigars when I was in Cuba and smoked them a couple of years ago. However I went to Cuba in 2000! They were a bit dry but still smoked great

magnolia - If I could buy them that way I would

Portugal.

Have a gander at this then: http://www.heathrow-airport-guide.co.uk/dutyfree.html for what you can bring back. Portugal is listed there. As for when you're out there, I'd buy a smaller amount just to do you while you're there and look at bringing what your allowance allows back and investing in a humidor. Dry cigars might smoke ok (as in you can get a draw, but the end tends to disintegrate like a flaky pastry in your mouth) but they're supposed to be somewhat moist.
