Isnt the QNIX QX2710 Evolution II VA?
Its Samsung PLS. I dont think we are allowed to talk about that monitor here though, as ocuk dont sell them.
Its not that long ago the "ban" on Korean monitor talk was lifted on these forums. So as fare as i know only the usual rules, such as no mentioning of competitors, applies. Of course if im wrong i would happily change my post.
be careful of "AHVA" screens which is AU Optronics' version of IPS (like Samsung have PLS). As said, there aren't currently any 1440p AMVA panels other than the 32" models (BenQ BL3200PT etc)
Whats wrong with AHVA? im simply asking because i do not know, and am looking around myself for a new screen. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Nothing is wrong with AHVA. Baddass was simply pointing out that AHVA and VA are completely different panel technologies. The former is IPS-type and the latter is Vertical Alignment.
Thanks for the clarification. Which of the 2 would you recommend for entertainment purposes then?
That's down to personal preferences and the types of games you play or movies you watch. I personally really enjoyed using the BL3200PT (as you can hopefully see from my review) and if you watch a lot of movies or play lots of games with dark scenes I'd strongly consider it. It provides an excellent contrast performance and produces striking vibrancy where light and dark shades meet. If you are sensitive to trailing/ghosting then it may not be ideal, so it really depends on what your used to and your expectations.
How would you rate the performance of the Benq BL3200PT when it comes to input/latency/Ghosting/trailing against something like the LG 34UM65 (i know its not the same aspect but its the only IPS ive ever owned). Again thank you for taking your time to answer this.
I haven't tested the 34UM65, but I'd recommend you take a look at my reviews of the BL3200PT and AOC q2963Pm for a good idea of what to expect. The q2963Pm should perform similarly to the 34UM64 when it comes to responsivenss. The BL3200PT simply isn't as responsive, but some people would find it responsive enough and may not really detect a significant difference between the two. So I must stress again it is very subjective and may not be an issue for everyone. It's something you really have to see for yourself.
I haven't compared those two side-by-side (I own a BL3200PT and have used the LG for a few hours) so it's hard to be exact, but my impression was the two are not too far apart in terms of ghosting/trailing with the BenQ somewhat slower on some darker colour combinations. I didn't find response time an issue with either screen. How would you rate the performance of the Benq BL3200PT when it comes to input/latency/Ghosting/trailing against something like the LG 34UM65 (i know its not the same aspect but its the only IPS ive ever owned).
