Which make of car has the rudest drivers?

Those middle-management types who drive BMWs, Audis, non-modded Subarus and self-drive rental white vans.
I'd say specifically those types of drivers, as I've seen what a lot of them are like when they hop on motorcycles for the Summer, too!!

Tailgaters, especially ones who don't realise they're doing it.

It's reckless to group them into car makes

I'm going to go with french cars :p just on my journey from coventry on monday was held up numerous times by little french cars in the overtaking lane...... not overtaking  and then when they do finally overtake, they didn't pull back in for ages.... or stayed in lane as there was another car about 500yards in the distance they were slowly catching up to so... yeah... why bother to pull in and let others overtake you when you'll only have to pull back out again in 5 mins when they eventually get neck and neck with the next car :p

I drive quite a lot, and I don't think I could genuinely say that any one car brand tends to have ruder drivers, however, when it comes to motorways I tend to find that bigger cars (whether it's Merc S classes, Range Rovers, big Audis or BMWs or Lexus, Phaetons) often tend to sit in the "fast" lane going vastly quicker than most the traffic and tailgating people until they move over.

I tend to find that they sit there, but not going vastly quicker than other traffic. As if they genuinely believe in the "BMW Lane" rubbish, and will stay there at 72MPH all day.

I wouldn't mind so much if they actually got a move on, rather than holding everyone else up because it's "their lane".

There's a particularly annoying BMW X3 driver in Bath. Parks on double yellows, in stupid places and generally just does what he likes. And he tailgates and honks at anyone who hesitates even slightly.
Always getting tickets but obviously has the cash to just pay them without batting an eyelid...
There's a word for people like him, but sadly I can't say it here!

So long as they're overtaking in that lane, no matter at what speed, then it's absolutely fine. If they don't move over once the maneuver is complete then yeah, we have a problem.

Also, glad you've recognised that it's our lane :D

Was typed on a tablet so I didn't pay much attention to the grammar to be honest! (that and I thought the crowd here in Motors might be a little less critical that GD!)

That's the point. They're not. Thus preventing others from passing.

From my experience it's Audi.

Used to be BMW but they've been overtaken.

4x4 drivers can be particularly bad but in the single model stakes I'd go for Range Rover Sport.

P.S. I have an Audi Q7 and a BMW Z4 and I'd say I'm very courteous. You can't do 30,000 miles a year like I do and be any thing other than laid back on the road or the stress will kill you.

That may be so, that they hog the outside lane, but if they're doing the speed limit, they're not preventing others from passing.

No, they're just breaking the law in a different way. Which is.. ok? It's an overtaking lane - finished overtaking? Pull back in. Don't be a donkey.

TBH I think that the worst drivers in terms of aggression or arrogance tend to be badge worshippers - they always driver 'premium' cars and think they own the road because of it. Man or woman - seems to make no difference. Like bikers tho it's the minority that make this noticeable - but the fact that it is tends to lead you to this conclusion.

Personally, as a middle aged, middle manager, I'm the opposite - in fact I try and go out of my way to do just one nice thing for another driver in every journey. It's a rewarding thing to do, and I just hope they then pay it forward too.

In my experience there is rarely a correlation between the make and model of a car and the level of cretinous behaviour displayed by the driver.
