I bought a car without consulting motors! Blasphemy I know.

I wanted something that wasn't FWD, fairly powerful(this is 268bhp and 258lb/ft) and not massively expensive.
Nice to drive.

Love the aggressive front end!

I do dispair slightly at the "2015" model designation though, I know thats standard in the US, but it feels like a cheesy marketing device.

CVT? Ack. What's it like in the WRX? I hope it's better than the standard Impreza I drove last week; with only 112lb ft-odd it was ghastly. I felt so embarrassed going down the road as it sounded like I didn't know how to use a clutch. :D

Those transmissions with decent engines in front of them can work quite well though, so I'd be interested to know what it's like! :)

No spoiler as well.

Looks like a relatively nice 4 door - less WRX, more Legacey IMHO?

Still a nice looking peice of kit - Wrong Gearbox I think though Autos are a lot more popular in the states then here

The gearbox in this is fantastic, it has 'simulated' gears with paddle shift, there's no loss in drive when you change but allows you to put it into 1 of 8 (eight!) gears in the sportiest mode. A manual in this city is useless, it wouldn't be a pleasant experience and I do a few miles for work now too.

I went in to the dealer and said "I don't like CVT" he said "try it"... 30 seconds later I wanted it. Power comes on from 2000rpm, the steering is sublime and it just grips and grips.

Pick it up tonight!

I can understand why in the states. No argument that auto's etc have come on leaps and bounds.

Just feels wrong saying a Imprezza WRX Auto - same as Evo Auto as well.

Very very nice motor though - Water side pics are a must!!
