UK companies selling high end Xeon workstations?

Hi all,

I am interested in investing in a dual E5-2697 V2 ( or maybe E5-2695 V2) workstation. The sole purpose for the workstation will be 3D rendering, nothing else.

I am not interested in purchasing several cheaper nodes, just the aforementioned dual E5-2697 V2 workstation.

I can't seem to find any companies selling already built workstations with that specific CPU though. Just a company called Cutesi and their price was quite good actually- 3,901.99 GBP.
I don't want to build it myself since I have little experience with such high end hardware, besides buying the assembled workstation sometimes proves to be cheaper than putting it together by yourself.

So, anyone knows UK based companies selling such workstations?

For 3d rendering wouldn't you benefit from a professional grade video card like a firepro or quadro or is it all about the cpu cores?

For the rendering part it's all about the CPU cores (my renderer is CPU based).
For the modelling and view-port navigation before that- the GPU does make a difference but not that much any more (unless you are using a very low end GPU).

Pro GPUs are a con really now. I reckon that's why nVidia nerfed the DP64 performance on their cards, to give pros actual reasons to buy their pro cards.

Sure, AMD's pro cards are also a con as well, I wouldn't dispute that, however it's only nVidia that has killed the DP64 performance in this sort of way which had a carry over to some DX11 features performance. Though that isn't really a subject for this thread, I was just pointing out the pro cards being a con.

I was not aware they have that section at all.
I just checked it and it seems somewhat limited, then again these are custom made machines, maybe that is why.

I will contact OcUK in a minute though.
