Actually just realised that the Asus X99 is a X99-E WS which is normally a fair bit more expensive than the standard WS board.
I really want the deluxe to match with my 5390k so I can run 16/16/8 with my 3 290's, but the rampage is only £30 dearer, but means my cards run at 16/8/8.

to be honest you wont see much difference between 16x16x8 or 16x8x8 unless its for benchmarking
