Interesting that the Asus Deluxe is only €20 cheaper than the Rampage V Extreme. Are they that similar? So excited for reviews.

Ah I see discussion here about the ASUS WS. I created the thread before I noticed!

So basically we expect this won't have as many o/c options then? It looks good otherwise, not OTT like some offerings.

I use the Asus WS boards all the time and they have almost the same overclocking features as the Rampage boards.. I don't push them as far as they can go though as stability is the key in my sector.

Actually just realised that the Asus X99 is a X99-E WS which is normally a fair bit more expensive than the standard WS board.

I really want the deluxe to match with my 5390k so I can run 16/16/8 with my 3 290's, but the rampage is only £30 dearer, but means my cards run at 16/8/8.

to be honest you wont see much difference between 16x16x8 or 16x8x8 unless its for benchmarking

you wont see any diff, i very much doubt a 290 is taking up x8 pcie 3.0 bandwidth.
