Galloway attacked in street - broken jaw, rib

I can't stand the mans views but there's no justification for such an attack. I hope he gets better soon.
 
Normally i cant stand politicians but George is different.....hopefully his injuries wont slow him down too much.

Likewise. Can take him or leave him, personally but sometimes I admire his sheer audacity, slyness and guile when he gets one over on other politicians that I don't necessarily have any respect for so in those instances he is ok in my book. In others I think he's a twit for some of the views he holds and expresses. And as for the Big Brother thing, well......let's just try and forget that.

However, as others have already alluded to - in this country you don't expect to find yourself with a broken jaw whilst you walk the streets in the daytime. Sure it happens everyday to lots of people, famous or otherwise but it isn't something to be tolerated nor accepted.

I thought this too. Even though violence is never really the answer, it's one way to shut him up I suppose. Sad but true.
 
Normally I'm one of the first people to **** Galloway off but he was arrested the other day after calling for a boycott of Israel, on the basis he was making racist remarks. He was absolutely spot on and it highlighted the way that the pro-Israel lobby resort to branding any critisicm as being anti-Semitic, what about the Holocaust etc etc. Seems this guy that attacked him is one of that lot.
 
Calling for a boycott constitutes a racist offence in England now?
That is rather distressing.
I consider it a waste of resources to arrest someone for such a statement.

He wasn't arrested was he? Just interviewed by police (bet they had to draw straws to decide which officer got to do that), and the wording used was to make Bradford an "Israel free zone", which imo can be interpreted as an anti-semitic remark.
 
Can’t stand the man and hope he recovers without any lasting damage. Sad to see some people resorting to this kind of violence. It’s the moron’s way of putting across their point of view. :(
