So i have recently updated my graphics card bios to this one (in attempts to solve high temp problems) (followed both tutorial on here and rumorscity one no problems at all - though i still have the physical switch on the GPU in the 1 position after i flipped it..should i move it back??)
https://rumorscity.com/2013/12/12/msi-r9-280x-bios-update-to-fix-overheating-and-vrm-temperatures/
And i did a Unigine Heaven 4.0 test (maximum 1920x1080 ultra etc the settings used for the Unigine Heaven bench thread)
All good to start..higher minimum framerates (20+) than i had before (9 fps! on old bios) and also my graphics card was taking much longer to increase temp. We get to test 24 or 25 out of 26 and max temps are about 82 degrees with fans 50% (when i ran the test under previous bios the temps at this stage would be 87 and fans on 99%)
So fairly satisfied with that until the program decides to crash and i get a display driver not responding etc.
I start Unigine Heaven 4.0 again and when i begin benchmarking i get this....

As you can see the blue lines went away when i switch Tesslation OFF. Why is this? Any ideas anyone ? help?
Ohh btw just for morbid interest...my old score on Unigine Heaven 4.0 before this bios update was a huge 347 fps 9 -27
(i5-4690k, 8 gig ram, MSI gaming r9 280x graphics)
