saw two police officers today in my shopping center...

They had this in Cardiff yesterday as well.
Only the second time I've seen armed police outside of an airport as well.

Question 1: Were the two LAPD officers in a mall in America in a film or drama series broadcast for American audiences which was bought by a UK provider and aired on one of the five main stations?

Question 2: Did you at any point see film titles or credits when watching these officers? Examples may include a black screen with white writing and a list of the people involved in the filming of said film or television show.

Question 3: Did the officers disappear from your view when you pressed the OFF button on your TV remote control or when you left the cinema complex?

Any USAF bases nearly? Could be base police. Otherwise the fancy dress option sounds best (or filming, if the shopping centre would pass for a US mall).

USAF MPs have always worn camouflage fatigues and are now sporting the new green/grey tiger-stripe ABU these days.

LAPD wear black uniforms, so any LEOs seen in brown in LA belong to one of the county Sheriffs.

:D

Just a thought, could it be an exchange programme? I know the RAF host pilots from the USAF for a year or two but I've never heard of the police doing it. A quick Google search suggests similar programmes exist.

This is probably the explanation. I've seen Bobby's as part of an exchange on Dublin streets.

A brave thing to do all things considered.

Best thing I've read all week :p :D :) :D :) :D

lol. just to say

1. no i wasnt drunk
2. they didnt act like they were going to a dress party
3. they were actually talking to a teenager who was sitting down

for all intents and purposes they did look like genuine police officers (but the uniform was different) and they also looked american... (So i didnt want to ask any questions just in case I got shot! ;) )

You: Excuse me, are you chaps American?
Them: Listen kid... *shoots ilcp dead*

Not sure that would be the case to be honest. :p

This thread confused me. I presumed you were in the US due to the fact you wrote 'center' rather than 'centre'.

Therefore seeing police officers in US police outfits would be perfectly normal.

You don't need to ask question to get shot :S (protip: If your stopped by a state trooper at 5am who mistakenly thinks your trying to burgle a garage don't inadvertently reach into the pockets of your military style cargo trousers).

I saw two guys in American police uniform yesterday too, they were in Burger King. But they also had an American police car outside with a Hire Number on the side.
