AMD Radeon R9 295X2 to Get Promotional Price, Open to All

I cannot believe that people really expect to see a £599 price tag, I mean the cheapest R9 290x on this site is £379 and the R9 295x is two of those with an AIO cooler. A £799 price tag would be very good, a promotional £699 price tag would be exceptional, £599 well Gibbo did ask for people to be realistic.

whats not realistic i know of a american retailer doing them with a psu thats about 130-150 here for 999 dollars thats 600 quid !

If your buying from USA, you don't pay their tax, so a UK customer buying from USA buys at $999, the landed price in the UK is normally USA exc. TAX price plus 30% for UK VAT/Duties/Shipping. Hence about landed cost in UK from buying in USA would be £750ish, but you are hung to dry on warranty as USA law is only 30 days warranty with reseller. Trying to RMA that product back to EU well the manufacturer is in their right to refuse the RMA as it is none EU goods. So you'd have to ship back to USA, very costly!

yea the RMA kills it dead, plus it would take flipping ages too, you are only truly safe buying in the UK or in Europe..

the 295X2 is a damned good card, but a poor seller compared to the 7990... it's too expensive

I'm pretty sure dual GPU's were meant to be cheaper than the sum of its parts at retail, take the 4870x2, it was cheaper than 2 1GB 4870's.

Even the 5970 was reasonable.

Not what I expect, it's what I would happily pay. He asked for a price I give him one.

You can't compare with US pricing, it's always been that way.

I don't expect Gibbo to be able to get a £600 price tag but that's around what I'd happily pay.

Asus want over £1000 for those, I refused to buy them. :)

Over £1000 for wholesale? out of interested whats the actual RRP on them. More than likely overpriced. Byt Amzing custom EK block and SINGLE Slot

Might be surprised some might buy them.

Struggling to improve on £799, in short being told no, LOL!

Makes sense if USA can sell them at $999 and USA retailors are buying in around $999 and getting a kick back, I guess me trying to buy them at $700 plus shipping is not going down so well, HAHA.

Shall keep pushing at them but I suppose they can simply get more for them US side.....

put it up for sale at £799....total mind you ;)

but still try and see if you can get that down, a fair price seems to me about £720 ( considering it can be OCd ok)

on Ebay for about 1300 dollars plus £75 postage, other prices are about 2000 dollars

so Ebay definitely isn't cheap, that GPU has no box :eek: yet is supposed to be brand new, you see this kind of **** all the time.....forget it !!!

so if OCers drop their price to about £799 then i'm afraid you cant argue
