How can they not be terrorists? Israel has the right to exist and protect its populous.

Indeed, the UK law definition of race is fairly wide. To discriminate against all Israelis could fall foul of our racism laws, probably justifiably so as it is wrong to hold all people responsible for the actions of their government.

Because thinking and expressing a view isn't terrorism? Would someone who thinks the Queen shouldn't be head of state be a terrorist?

And how does that stand with sanctions against other countries eg Russia and Iran. Not that I saying those countries should have sanctions (one should and one should have loosened) but should some countries get off with it if they can claim some collective ideal as an excuse (I know you aren't condoning they should).

One are state sanctioned restrictions on trade from certain nations others are self serving demogogues spouting racist remarks for votes? Even with sanctions we don't tend to make the UK a Russian free zone or an Iranian free zone.

I agree here.

His comments regarding an Israeli free zone are both racist & stupid, not all Israelis support the actions of the government or what they are doing to the Palestinian people. Quite a number of the Israeli intelligentsia have suffered at the hands of extremists in the country for espousing liberal & tolerant views regarding the treatment of Muslims.

I agree I don't like the bloke or what he stands for as I said back at the start of the thread he is a demagogue. But I don't think what he is saying is intentionally racist in the way we would generally accept the world and is only being used because Israel has that special status and the most wonderful high trump card called the holocaust which seems to trump anything else that has happened in the history of the human race.

As far as I am aware not all Iranians or all Russians are banned from the UK.

I disagree, I think he is being intentionally racist. Not because he is especially racist but because it will get him votes/support/kudos.
