Where is GTAV???

Every time I play it on the 360 I sit there thinking "the frame rate is turd" or "how epic would this look if it wasn't running on a potato" - the game is amazing with so much detail but it's just crying out for decent hardware.

Agreed my friend. Taking into account how crap 4 was on PC on release, they can take as much time as they like as far as I'm concerned.
 
Not really that excited anymore as it has been so long. The game on the gameplay front isn't all that either given that I only finished it once and couldn't handle going back to it unlike IV. Probably due to the rather dull (exception being Trevor) characters.

GTA being GTA, it is a massive programming accomplishment overall - the world is just massive and amazingly detailed and modding will just add to that. Hey Rockstar may even deliver Heists at some point this century!

Same here man.

Spent hours fixing my old RROD'd xbox to play this last year. Got 10 minutes into it, and after already getting frustrated at the horrible frame rate I eventually quit when a tree appeared from nowhere and totalled my car during a mission.

There has been references to the PC version since it was released, so I'm confident it should be decent and not a port.

The PS4 and Xbox one version could be entirely ported from the PC version- that's what seems likely to me anyway.
 
Yeah with it being on nextgen consoles as well we should (hopefully) get something a lot better than GTAIV

I couldn't even get through the opening scenes on 360 so you got further than me lol!
 
I would be fine with higher res and decent FPS. If they could iron out a few clunky bits like the car your in being 50% of the other cars on the road that would be good too.

This is how I feel about the PS3 version too, graphically it looks good especially considering how old the hardware is but the framreate is absolutely terrible whenever anything semi-interesting starts to happen. Can't wait to play it the way it was intended. :p
