Yeah that seems to be recurring opinion, you're definitely not the first person to make that recommendation.
I'm kind of torn between the 8320 and the 8350 or waiting for the 8370 atm. I don't change my CPU very often so I'd ideally like to get the best one possible.
They're all one of the same dude. Their specs are identical other than their clock speeds.
My 8320 does 4.9ghz all day long. It's very much temperature dependent though and it red lines at 73c. Once you go above that (so exactly 74c) the rig locks up. I'm absolutely certain that with my CPU under water I could easily surpass 5ghz.
I ended up settling for a heat wave clock of 4.7ghz.
I've had two btw. The other one was board limited (4+2) but it was so easy getting it to 4.4ghz that it wasn't even funny.
Just avoid the multi and hit the FSB.
Thing is? AMD are binning hard atm to make these centurions. That means there's an awful lot of very good chips floating around in 8320 packaging
