He works for JLR so I think he will know which model it is.
I'm sticking to my guns. The wheel arches, the positioning of the camo over the distinctive rear 3/4 windows, the camo cover over the side vents behind the front arches, the straight shut-line of the bonnet. The overall shape screams Land Rover's current design theme to me.

Went to the Prescot Hill Climb near Cheltenham and saw the hill climb record broken 3 times, a fair few crashes (everyone's OK) and, being the home of the Bugatti OC, quite a few of those too. The weather was great, the venue was fantastic, the racing was superb all day long and the car park was filled with everything from the mundane to the highly exotic (Viper, AM DB5 etc).
Was it totally immaculate condition? I saw a perfect example in red at the end of my street a couple of weeks ago, Cannock isn't far so fairly likely to be the same one?
