USB 3 card reader

Any recommendations for one or two? Ideally one should be a single unit, without a cable that can just plug directly into a USB socket.

I use a few Transcend units, RDF5 for OTG no cable and a couple of RDF8's as well.

Perform flawlessly, rapid, firmware updates and value for money

Lexar one is the best around IMO, although it does have a short cable.

Heard good things about the Kingston so I bought that recently, then I remembered even though my new case has USB 3, my mobo doesn't support it so I can't even try it out

I recently bought a Transcend USB 3.0 from the Rainforest and that seems to do the trick so far Has CF/SD and Micro SD

Although Windows has a weird problem where I can't use it when my scanner (Epson V700) is plugged in and turned on. Probably a port assignment issue, but it isn't a huge issue for me since I never use both at once anyway.

That's the one I use also, really good and never had a problem with it.

Yeah, when I said 'try out' I meant try out USB 3. I have a USB 2 card reader already so I cbb to open it up atm!

I bought cheap Kingston MobileLite G4

Nice and compact and works well.
