AMD Radeon R9 295X2 to Get Promotional Price, Open to All

Yeah from the reviews the card is loud at idle. Much louder than the 290, and that was annoying.

I can't hear my 290 cards at idle even with my head in the case. I think we've had this discussion before mind. :p

Its 38 Db at idle, not actually that loud when you look at other GPU's at 38 Db, reference 290X / 7750 / GTX 780TI....

And why not just set your own fan profile?

Check any other reviews and they say it's loud. Here's from techpowerup's conclusion:

Noisy in idle, could be quieter under load.

Plus you can't set a fan profile on the 295X2 as far as I'm aware.

Ah :p
Yeah with 3/4 290s I think that is definitely the case lol

My 290's are on the sidelines at the moment. Got 3x290X XFX DD cards in at the moment. At 100% fan speed they sound like the reference cooler at 25%. :p
