Hi what is a good budget 1150 motherboard.

it will be running an i5 but i dont know witch one yet, i do know there is no need for overclocking and i would like a board with 4 ram slots.

I'm using the Asrock Z97 Extreme4 and it's been great so far :). The onboard audio is pretty good too (didn't even bother using the Asus Xonar DG card from my other PC). You get plenty of features for the price!

If you don't plan to overclock the CPU at all (BLASPHEMY!;p), then you should buy a H97 board and save money. Asus H97-Plus and 4690 should fit the bill nicely.

There are also some nice Gigabyte H97 boards to choose from if you happen to prefer that brand. If you're absolutely certain that you won't be overclocking, then H97 is the way to go. Just make sure that a given board has all the features you need. If, however, you think that you might change your mind about overclocking somewhere down the road, then buy an unlocked CPU and a reasonably priced Z97 board just to be on the safe side.

already have the cpu and its a none K so no OC'ing.

i have never had any luck overclocking. there always unstable in some way i have killed ram and cpu's so i just want a system that works

Then buy the Asus H97-Pro or something similarly specced from Gigabyte and you're golden:D Of course grabbing a decent Z97 board is a neat option as well as you can use a non-k CPU with those and swap for an unlocked unit should you change your mind at some point in time (Broadwell K maybe?). However, in case of Z97 I wouldn't go lower than the Gigabyte UD3H/Gaming 5 or Asus Z97-A. You can also check out the Gaming 3, it's a bit cheaper but might be enough for your purposes.
