Hello,I was just wondering about higher frequency memory. I'm currently using 1600Mhz corsair Dominator platinum memory.

My Brother said he's purchased me 32gb kit of 2133mhz memory.

Now,When i enter the bios at the moment it says my memory is running at 1333? on my 16gb 1600mhz.

So i'm wondering when i install my new kit of memory do i have to overclock it to achieve the mhz of the memory?

Or will it just be 2133 as soon as i install.

Sorry for the question just wondering is all.

Thank you

Most ram runs at 1333mhz by default,to get the advertised speeds of ram modules you have to enable its XMP profile in your bios.

Also depends on your Mobo, not all boards support ram speeds above 1600mhz
