wallets and RFID

I have one for my Oyster card

It has a combo lock on it as well, so when I come up to the barrier I have to unlock it, take the Oyster card out of the wallet, beep it, walk through, put the card back in then lock the wallet up again.

It's amazing how many gasps and noises of admiration I hear every time I use it

This may or may not be truthful

I just purchased one of these RFID wallets 2 weeks ago and it really is the best wallet I've ever owned.

I was sick and tired of my normal leather wallet sitting in my pocket big, bulky and uncomfortable... Also with WIRELESS RFID Credit Card Theft (Aka-Skimming) on the rise I started looking for something new.

This wallet is RFID & Bifold for cash... the way it dispatches your debit/credit cards is awesome :)

Why can't banks offer a card without this feature ?

Not everyone needs to use contactless.

Why remove functionality which can be useful in the long term. Isn't it better to have something which you can choose not to use rather than wish you had it?

Plus the cost of producing 2 different type of cards.

Why would you want a card with out the feature, and banks have to include it by a certain date.
Went for a meal last night, and we all paid by card, I was paid in about 2 seconds. Everyone else passing the machine back and forth and it takes a lot longer, soon it is everywhere the better. Especially at self scan tills.

I also use a metal wallet, which may it may nit block it. http://www.myfireti.com/
Not a fan of there one new design now. They used to have plain and other designs.

Thats exactly what I've been looking for since my cards get eaten by cash machine way too soon once they've moulded themselves to the contours of my buttcheeks. :(

I'd be all over the Fireti in a shot if it was plain titanium or even a black finish. But what's with the garish designs?

Lots of choice if you shop around.

I have an Elephant Wallet.

They used to do lots of designs, mines just plain.

But as said there's a lot of similar wallets now, just google metal wallets.

Such a shame he cut it down to just one design. I suppose he just couldn't keep up and didn't want to expand. It's a solo guy doing it at home.

Like this one http://www.ridgewallet.com/collections/shop-all-products no clip though, aghh the clip is rubbish, but they sell it without the clip.

I requested Natwest send me a non-contactless debit card rather than the contactless one they had automatically issued me with. Why the hell would I want a contactless debit card when I use a contactless credit card on a daily basis? Just makes a system designed for speed less efficient because I have to remove the card from the wallet to prevent card clash. If they stop making non-contactless debit cards I will be annoyed.
