Hi all,

Just wanted to share one of our recent weddings, the wedding thread seems dead and I've noticed people starting wedding specific threads so thought I'd join in.

Here's a link to Holly & Nathans full storyboard : K&L Photography - Holly & Nathan's Storyboard

They both live in Exeter but have family ties here in Stoke-on-Trent. For anyone that knows the area, Holly got ready at The Upper House and then onto The Trent Country Club.

P.s - Wilfie is their really cute son!

Here are a few from the blog :

The crop of No.1 looks ok to me, but then I like the folk who push the envelope with their pictures.
If I was to offer some critique though (which is easy to do with the luxury of time to ponder), I would say the composition lacks 'balance'. I maybe wouldn't have thought of it in real time, but I think the shot would 'work' better with the cloud positioned on the left.

Just an observation I'v found. I find if you make an effort to think of this stuff in real time, then eventually you don't have to consciously think about it, as it kinda becomes 'automatic'.

I guess I see what you mean regarding the clouds but as you'll know weddings, time was particularly short even if I did want to wait for the clouds to move. The couple loved it though and have actually had it as a double page spread as the opening pages of the album.

Very good shots! Was at The Upper House a few weeks back :)

Thanks, only had the pleasure of that morning at the venue but the grounds were really nice and varied.

I know the couple would have loved it. It's only picky togs 'trying' to find fault that will notice. I wouldn't have waited either. An option would have been to see how it looked shooting the bus from the other side. Bus would be on left, cloud on right. The trade off is maybe the writing wouldn't look so good?

As for the rest, they are beautiful.

Other side of the bus was in shade and would have lost the blue sky with the exp comp needed to expose for the bus.

Thanks :)

Just been trying to find your website (due to your other thread), would you mind sending it if you don't want it public on here? Fancy a nosey :)
