I've not been to Guernsey, but 10000 miles/year still sounds impressive to me on a 78km2 island
Thought it was an RX, but,**** me! That consumption is horrific!
I still can't decide if modern trucks are incredibly efficient, for what they are,compared to cars or car makers really need to up their game!
It does seem a bit crazy that a 44 tonne truck can get over half the economy that my little 2 seater Merc gets

Yes RX8 are really bad on fuel..
And Guernsey just makes the fuel consumption far far worst then what you would get with your normal mainland driving...as over here it all start and stop driving and tiny road and hills etc.
Most likely be about the same as just driving around a single busy UK town all day long

True enough, in fairness, the truck would be doing low single figures in similar conditions - ours live on motorways & dual carriageways in the main.
