*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

if you have psn+ and dont need the money from selling the ps3 maybe you should keep it for the extra games you are entitled every month. I know ps plus is not as good as it used to be but still if you have psn+ it 2 games per month. Plus you never know when they will enable the external drive, dlna etc support for the PS4 and ps3 supports those.

That is pretty much what I have been doing, using it for the PlayStation Plus games, GTA V and playing 3D blu rays :p.

I'll keep it plugged in, just not next to the PlayStation 4, move it to another room :).

I've kept my PS3 for the same reason. I thought I would grab the PS+ games and perhaps play them as they came out. I have not turned it on since I bought the PS4 but I may do...one day...

I say it's blasphemy but the past 2 months we got Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3 for the PS3, whoever doesn't have a PC and has ps3 with PSN+ they are "free" games good to play. If i hadn't just bought a used gtx 680 and saw crysis 3 on the PC first i would say wow it is very nice on the PS3 but now hmmm. Still though free games and nice games vs PS4 giving indies so far.

So, I got my PS4 yesterday, the shop sent the wrong bloody bundle. Wanted the Last Of Us bundle, they sent Destiny. I took my retail copy of Destiny back to Game, got some PS+ time and Killzone with the rest on a gift card.

I am now looking at what 'Must Haves' I must have, other than TLoU, Destiny and Killzone, what else should I be looking at?

God the DS4 is really starting to annoy me. Battery life is terrible and my thumbs keep slipping off the sticks as I think the rubber has worn down (after 1 month). Much prefer my XB1 controller. Ordered some XB1 sticks to at least alleviate that problem. Sony got so much right but I have to say the DS4 is a miss.

I'm finding hard to go back to using a Playstation controller. I've been using the 360 joypad since it launched and then using it on PC. That left thumb stick is just not in the right place! :D

I thought my PS4 had broke earlier. The disc ejected by itself and then the ejecting mechanism was going constantly. A quick look online and it's a common problem, the solution being to turn off your PS4, lay it on it's side and turn it back on again.

Okay, so I can't seem to see my NAS from my PS4, I guess this is normal right.

Does anyone know if there are plans for that to change. Because it seems utterly bonkers and backwards to me that it can't.

edit -just read the above !

DLNA support has been confirmed to be coming at some point.

had my ps4 2 weeks and have to agree about the ds4 battery life 3 levels of killzone and battery was flat  :( rubber still intact for now though.
So glad I didn't get ps4 early on because the light on ds4 without dim feature would have drove me nuts as I like to play in dark the original full brightness was horrendous to play with bit of a fail from sony.
