Looking for advice once again, I have been searching the website and have found three cards, but unsure which one would be the best for performance, or is there any other 4gb card you can recommend which is better than these with a max price up to £280 Thanks for any help :):)

Rather get a cooler running MSI 290 than the hot reference 290X unless you're water cooling. The 290X could very possibly throttle anyway to make the gains over the 290 negligible.

reference 290x's are loud, and iirc in quiet mode it will downclock to keep its temps [aka throttle]. its still loud in quiet mode [well, not enough to drown out the sounds of battle on a headset but defo noticeable]

otherwise its a beast, if you fancy sacrificing a little [and its not that much] power for quietness then go for non reference 290 and even have a bit of oc headroom to make up the gap.

290 is about 60% faster... surprised you even asked, it's like asking should i pick 760 or 780 for 50 bucks more.
beside 760 cannot push the 4Go or ram unless you sli with a 2nd card, and even then performance would be around 20% faster than single 290, or less depanding of sli profile and scalling

Or you could get the XFX 290X and use the heat to offset your direct storage heater/ central heating bill. ;)

Now I am totally undecided now on which one to go for, after looking at that card and especially noticed a couple of the reviews for this card state they have bought this for a replacement for a faulty msi 290

The MSI Gaming Edition Cards had Bad batches not so long ago, overheating cards, Fans leaking oil ecte....

I don't know if they are ok now.
