AMD Overdrive/MSI Afterburner won't let me overclock as much as I would like?

Hi guys, so I just got a new GPU, an Asus HD7970 DirectCU II TOP.

The stock core speed is 1000MHz, and the stock memory clock is 1400MHz x4.

Now, in either MSI Afterburner or AMD Overdrive, I can only set the core speed to a maximum of 1125MHz, and the memory speed to a maximum of 1575MHz. I wanted to try for closer to 1200MHz / 1750MHz, and some reviewers of this exact card have done just that using MSI Afterburner or AMD Overdrive.

1125/1575 is 100% stable with stock voltages.

Any tips? This is my first AMD card, after a long string of NVIDIA cards.

Hello Acme,

Try the following settings below in Afterburner. This should unlock voltage controls as well as extend the overclocking range possible to you allowing you to go beyond 1125/1575.

Thanks, that worked perfectly. I had to update Afterburner to make the AMD specific options appear. :)

Ran fine at 1200/1750, but I've put it back to 1125/1575 for temperature/noise reasons. :p
