AMD Radeon R9 390X cooler leaked

They would not include watercooling as a stock cooler with there cards as that would push the price up and not fit in many PC cases..

On the contrary, most, if not all PC cases have a 120mm/140mm fan at the back. That can usually mount a 120mm rad on the same spot, even if it's not mentioned in the case specs. I mean, the holes are the same.

It would, however make Crossfire very hard for most cases.

Hmm, while I see the point of it on a dual chip card I think on a single card its a bit much.

The Asetek AIO cooled GTX580 and GTX680 were very good noise/temp wise, as are the tens of thousends of AMD/Nvidia GPUs with aftermarket AIO's fitted. The is obviously a market for it and if it means the reference card runs cooler/quieter I'm all for it :)

if they do go water cooling as standard for high end cards, they will lose a fair amount of customers. (people who don't like water) like me.

lets hope they still can offer air cooling.

but if its just a better air cooler then wicked their last one was the one of the worst coolers (look) wise to date :p

i agree. i don't really like the idea of water cooling as standard for high end cards

it just would so how inefficient they are oh we cant save power
& give it FPS

give it so much FPS it turns into nucluer reactor.

uses 5000W, Heat output 4500W :p

Having had awful experiences with aftermarket coolers, I prefer suck+blow (wayhay!) coolers like those on EVGA SC Nvidia cards. AMD's don't usually work, cf. 290X reference models hitting 95

I like the design

Even if watercooling does become standard (I hope it doesn't)- I'm sure a few third parties will release air cooled variants.

It won't make much difference to me, I will still rip off the AIO solution and put a proper waterblock on the cards.

If you are going to watercool do it properly.:D
