Hi

Sorry I know similar has been posted recently with the nvidia launch very soon. I'm looking to upgrade from my crossfire 270's and found a non reference zotac gtx 780 for £280. Would it be wise to buy now or wait? Is the newer model with similar performance likely to be the same price or cheaper?

Cheers

Wait and see how the GTX 970/980 turn out. 280 aint that cheap for a 780, chances they will drop in price with the new card here soon.

I would rather buy from OCUK like I have in the past but the prices on the 780's are too high!

I wish I had access to the MM but not enough posts. I was thrilled last night to reach 250 posts in all the years I have been here only to find out the minimum is now 1000

Lol this happened to me! :D

On Topic!

I would wait now, as in a weeks time we will see how the new cards perform and take it from there! ;)

Wait until the 980 launch, and the inevitable price drops in the coming weeks. Bargains a plenty soon ;)

This, even if the GTX 9xx series is a let down (which I think it will) people will be selling GTX 780's to get them which will bring the prices even lower if you go second hand.

Didn't Gibbo say to not expect too much other than the fact it is quicker than a 780ti (but obviously not by too much)

I would have to agree. Wait, then make the decision....I assume the announcement is on Friday? What time?

Not sure, i would be gutted though if i spent £300 on a 780 only for the 970 to be released 4 days later at a similar price point and offer the same if not more performance but with 4gb ram and a much lower tdp.
