Being that I usually look like an utter chav I do quite like getting dressed up smart even if I do look/feel like a chimpanzee playing dress-up.

For funerals? yes.

Otherwise no, never, if you must then go nearly black, like slightly patterned graphite or very dark brown/blue colour to match shirt/belt/shoes.

It's ironic that we see Black Tie as formal when in fact it's historically a relaxed "dress down" and not formal at all (White Tie is the formal dress up )

For the record though, I love Black Tie and at the moment love to rock it with a classic 1930s look and not the travesty that is the cut of the modern DJ!
