juanroof.com

But seriously, it's not a good domain or business name anyway, since when you tell a customer "our website is oneroof.com" they are inevitably going to have to ask "is that with the number 1 or spelled out o-n-e". Just messy...

I would suggest finding something else!

Instead of 1 roof, how about anyroof? Don't sell yourself short by only doing one roof!

Your strap line could be "Any roof is better than no roof...!" which will get you into all sorts of bother with noroof.net :p

Did 'prospectors' buy up all the obvious domain names ten years ago to sell on later?

some people made millions
Insurance.com $35.6 million in 2010
VacationRentals.com $35 million in 2007
PrivateJet.com $30.1 million in 2012
Internet.com $18 million in 2009
Insure.com $16 million in 2009
Sex.com for $14 million in November 2010
Hotels.com $11 million in 2001
Fund.com 2008 £9.99 million
Porn.com 2007 $9.5 million
Fb.com by Facebook for $8.5 million in November 2010
some of those were probably bought by the same person as well

I don't want to be rude but you don't own the .com OR the .co.uk :p

Have you even done any research? You'll be hard pressed to get both addresses tbh. Change your name.

I still think iccan should only allow domain registration with a plan to use it.

There's so many great names for startups that are sat on for years with nothing but ads.

While I get some sites may take that long(they shouldn't) I still feel if you haven't produced anything after say 5 years you shouldn't be allowed to renew it.
