Giant hobo spiders move in

we've had a few of the big flippers. the cats have had at least 1, i zapped 1 the other night.

apparently the long mild spell has increased spider sizes this year :eek:
 
I have a huge bite around my ribs at the moment and it's giving my gyp, wonder if I've been bitten by one of these.
 
Their bite "can" cause necrosis, but it'll be so small it won't require debriding. Its just a slow news day and the change in temperature is causing the garden spiders to move indoors. I noticed one enter through the patio door yesterday and run across the kitchen floor. I found it dead underneath a seat this morning and that was around 2 1/2 inches in length.

Basically the TL:DR = mountain out of a mole hill and slow news day.
 
I'm not ashamed to admit it but I ran away from some hench spider yesterday. It was so aggressive. Just darted at me then started flexing its muscles staring me down :(.


It's a pint and a half glass job so I'm off to buy one to trap it.
 
Check this spider i destroyed this week.

I was watching something on the projector and i saw this little spider on the ceiling and i was going to have to deal with because it was moving towards me and about to hang on a web and annoy me. So i destroyed that one as i was about to sit down. I saw this huge spider on the wall behind me so i took a picture with zoom lens from my camera. see picture. I was not going to take any chances at i knew it would be a fast one so i sucked it up the henry vacuum cleaner.

I had opened the windows to air out the flat so i went upstairs to check to see if there was any 8 leg terrorists and couldn't find any. As i went to close the window i saw one on the back of the curtain, just a bit smaller than the one down stairs but equally as strange looking, massive fangs and thick black legs.

I really don't mind spiders, picking them up is no problem.

But I do hate getting a face full of spiders and their webs when venturing out into the garden in the morning.
 
I had the same sort of spider in the above picture in my room, the thing was huge. I hate spiders as well. I still don't kill them though, I managed to get the beast into a pint glass and chucked it out the window.
