What to buy from USA trip

Regarding the allowance you can bring in, just take the tags off the clothes or whatever you buy when you put them in your case.

Plus, does anyone actually ever go through the "Declare your goods" channel at the airport?

A colleague just bought a 128 GB iPhone 6 in California for about £20 more than a 16 GB iPhone 6 would have cost him here, saving him £140, or 20%. Apple products have a worldwide warranty.

I don't think the Cellular products do actually - only those without Cellular features.

Not to mention with phones, etc. theres always the potential issue of frequency/feature support especially in regard to LTE.

How did they do that? Apple aren't selling it without a contract in the US yet.

Well i am open to get stuff i can find cheaper there. And yep i am asking because i only hear people saying the us is so cheaper compared to uk so i was wondering what do people buy when they go at the us. I would love something technology wise, but i dont need a new phone and definitely cant stand the iphones i need micro sd slot. I saw a 5820k for 299 dollars somewhere so if i manage to get something like that i will bug it and some clothes. I am looking for a nice set of headphones which i see are cheaper in the usa.
Gf has bday once i return so i will do my shopping for her bday. And yep i am still learning what is GD?

The trouble with computer stuff is that it's a pain to buy, unless you want to spend your entire trip trawling shops you are basically limited to stuff you can easily pick up in the big high street/retail park retailers - so for computer stuff thats Best Buy.

If you are anywhere near a Micro Center store they normally have some great deals.

Right now 5960X for $899 or the 5820k you want for $299 :)

Could also pickup some GTX 980!

Avoid Best Buy like the plague if you can!

$749 for a 64gb IP6. That's £460.

£159 cheaper than buying in the UK

+ Sales tax, which is charged in most states and can be up to 10%.

We get done because people are stupid enough to pay it - see also people queuing out the door to pay £15 for burger, chips and a coke at Five Guys in Birmingham when the exact same meal cost me half that last week in Canada. We seem happy to pay premium prices for things.
